    Updating expression box from ddl

    First of all, THANKS for all the help I have received here. I will try to return the favor.

    I have a ddl, when the selection changes I want to change the value in an expression box located in a repeating section. I have tried to modify the formula to requery the database, based on the value of the ddl. PayPeriod is both the ddl and the name of the column in the access db. PayPeriods is the secondary data source

    xdXDocument:GetDOM("PayPeriods")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblPayPeriods/@FirstWeekOf[xdXDocument:GetDOM("PayPeriods")/dfs:myFields/dfs:dataFields/d:tblPayPeriods/@PayPeriod = current()]

    I'm not sure how to do this. I have looked in the fourms and it seems that every other example is a little bit different.

    Thank,

    Hello
    From where are you getting the value into expression box? DDL or Dataconnection? and if it is from the DDL it will automatically change if the expression box is binded to DDL and if it is from the Dataconnection, where did you put the formula to requery the database?. You need to put the rule on the DDL so that when the value in DDL changes the Rule fires to Requery the database

    Hope this helps you.

    The value is comming from a secondary data source. The value to be displayed is commng from the same data souce as the data in the ddl, but a different field

    I added a rule to the ddl to requery the secondary data surce, but I still do not see the value.

    Thanks
