    Repeating a Ruled Textfield

    Hello There,

ive got a connection to my sharepoint list and getting some information by entering #ID (  information = @information[ID=@ID] )

and now some repeating section comes in handy ;o...

but by repeating my ruled textfield ill get exact the same information ;< thats what ill understand and accept.
but is there a "workaround" ? like populating the rules and textfields i++ ? ;D

So you are building a repeating group within your form from SharePoint data in a secondary data source.

You want to select the first set of data with an ID and then number from there?

I would think you could set an intial value and then as you insert rows have the default value be ID + 1.  So on selection it would set the first field but inserted rows afterward would increment.

It would help to know more what you are trying to accomplish and the flow of the form.

hello again :) and thanks for responding

its a form where i get contacts by typing the addicted #id from sharepoint
    so its manual.

now the case by inserting more contacts with repeating section

what ill tried was taking the id and the contact fields right into the repeating
section but its logical that the repeated would do the same as the main ;9

There are sevral ways to do this but one that is easy and pretty effective is to create a repeating group in your main data source and use it to create a repeating table or section.  Place a drop down on the ID or contact name which gets its values from the SharePoint data.

So for the first contact they want in there form they would select them from the list then you would have rules which would update the form values from Sharepoint with the filter that the contact data = the one selected whether it is by name or ID or whatever.

If they wanted another contact they would use the built in insert functionality to create a second section or row and repeat.

    Hello :>

yes indeed this is what iam used to do, but the problem by repeating this section
is when i add an id to the second (repeated section)  all my textfields will change for that id.

and my idea / illusion was to put some code to add some numbers to the datasource fields and the rules to make my textfields unique but i think its quite impossible since im searching all day long

If your text fields are changing then you have a default, or a rule somewhere that is changing them. Is there a lookup by ID?  You would need to turn off this update or add conditions to make it smarter and only update where you want it too.

When inserting you have the default values you can configure, also pay attention to the top of the window where you can set the default for all fields or just the new ones.  This is not always obvious but you may have some checked to always update which is typically what you do not want.

You should be able to configure the functionality you describe, you may just need to do some simpler tests and master the setup.
