    Catch Hotkeys or Functionkeys in Infopath 2007?

    Hi,

    can anyone tell me if it is possible to catch a function key event (e.g.  F12) or a hotkey event in InfoPath 2007?

    In C#  Standard-Programming (Visual-Studio) you can say:

    // ============================

    this.KeyPreview = true

     this.KeyDown  += new KeyEventHandler (….)

        :

      If (e.KeyCode = Keys.F12) ……                                   )

     // ============================
    I need a code-based solution in InfoPath 2007 (VSTA)

    Thank you so much for your help!

    InfoPath is sandboxed and doesn't allow such things. However, if you use an HTML task pane, you can catch such events there (but not in the form itself). This probably won't help much with what you are trying to do though.

    Sorry.

    Hallo,

    Functionkeys are not allowed in InfoPath 2007.

    Now I plan a solution with Button-Hotkeys (e.g. “[Alt] v”).  The problem is now, if I press the hotkey  “[Alt] v”  the Button itself is focused, the form is scrolling to view the button and the actual text field lost focus. Is it possible to press the hotkey and suppress the focus-setting to the button?

    Or is it possible to create a Menu item, which is called by hotkey (e.g. “[Alt] v”)?  (Calling a menu item doesn´t change the actual field-focus)

    If it is possible, do you have any Sample Code?

    Additional information: The Application is designed as a local InfoPath-Application.

    Thank you so much for your help!

    You should be able to create new menu items. I don't have any details to offer you right now... but I'm sure that this topic has been discussed either in these forums or on the Microsoft public newsgroups.
