    Carriage Returns/Formating of Intro in 2003

    In my quest to send fields into plain text into email I wish to format and put things on differant lines.

    So far i can only get it on the same line.

    How can I do this? Current code I am using is:

    var mail = XDocument.DataAdapters("Submit");
    var ouserid = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("//my:myFields/my:group1/my:txtUserNTID").text;
    var ocomputer = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("//my:myFields/my:group1/my:txtComputerName").text;
    mail.Intro = ("Computer name:" + " " + ocomputer + " " + "User ID" + " " + ouserid); mail.Submit();

    You probably need to concatenate the ASCII values for line feed or Enter into your string.

    I cannot remember what they are off hand but should be easy to search and find.

    Ihave discovered how to do a carriage return very simply

    var oreturn = '\r'  then use that in the mail.intro statement

    However I can not figure out how to do bold or a bigger front - is this even possible?

    That may be tougher, I am not sure if InfoPath has a set format of the email or if it is determined by the defualt for each Outlook client. Whether it is HTML, or plain or rich text. You could experiment with some html characters to try and see if you can do it but it may not be consistent.

    To me it is easier for them just to open the form.

    With the Database Accelerator and its workflow you can have a custom email that is sent from the server which is sent automatically and could be formatted more like what you are attempting.  It also will send notification when there is something overdue or late. Just FYI

    thanks..

    using the .bold after the varible or .fontsize(20) i get this in the email:

    <FONT SIZE="20">5454354</FONT>  - so it seems to be passing HTML - and the intro part of infopath 2003 does not translate it correctly?

     idea maybe to get around this?

    Theuser i have for this form is requesting some details in the email body so the users wont always have to open the form to copy/paste some details.
