InfoPath form issue or Outlook 2007 problem

Trying to duplicate what Tudor Toma demonstrated in this blog post. I'm working on the same asset tracking demo form, but none of the form data is "promoted" when viewed in Outlook 2007. I've tested on Outlook 2007 beta, beta 2, RTM, SP1 with no success, so not sure if its something wrong with Outlook 2007 or my forms.

The columns do promote properly, just the data within the form is not displayed.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    Brian

You are selecting the fields you want to promote in InfoPath Design mode right? Tools->Form Options-> Property Promotion? None are promoted by default.

Also you have created a new Outlook folder which is the InfoPath Form Items Type?

You would need to republish to update.

Yes to both of those Clay. I checked the properties of the folder and I am unable to select "Promote form properties and display the data as columns in a new view". That option is greyed out (on all the Form Libraries I've been testing with).

    Thanks,

I believe I just found the answer - located in the MSDN InfoPath Labs.

Under figure 4, step 4 it notes that you must be in cached Exchange mode, or using a local PST file.

     Off to test...

That was the issue. Created a seperate PST file and the InfoPath form promotes data.

     Thanks,

    Brian
