real easy question.

if i want my file name to be Now() and a Field Name how would i do that?

Something like now() + FieldName

or Now() & " " & FieldName

or Now() + ' ' + FieldName
 

You can build the formula in the rules creation window but the syntax would be.

concat(Now(), " ", FieldName)

now need to take this one step further.

 i need to create a file name depending on a value from a dropdown box, but i need it to be incremented.

example:

apple_003

apple_002

apple_001

grape_001 

if the user selects a fruit from the dropdown i need the file name to reflect the fruit + the next number in the series.
