    Passing Back Info

I have a form, you see.  Which opens this other form.

Now, this first form needs to know if the second form is properly completed.  I can pass info into the second form no problem.  But is there a way to pass info back up to the first form without setting up a polling loop or some other messy hack?

Well, the moment I hit submit I had an idea.  Funny how that happens.

You can get the XDocument for any open form using thisApplication.XDocuments collection.

Kinda obvious seeing as how I used that collection to open the second document...

Sounds like a good idea! Please let us know how it goes... I have never tried to do this before and am interested to see how you get it to work.

Works fine.  I just added a tag to each templates XML to name it.  And I search through the collection for the correct form.

You could probobly search through looking for the InfoPath generated unique identifyer, but thats not nearly as maintainable.
