    Email form in body of email

    Hi everyone. I know this has been asked a million times, however, the posts people keep pointing to, these 3 seem to be the ones everybody points to:

    http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1006
    http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=94
    http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1290

    don't seem to be much help. The first wants the form data as text in an e-mail...that's not what I'd like, the second is talking about using .NET and a bunch of other stuff...that's not what I'd like either, and the 3rd gives me a C# example, which again isn't very helpful to me...I'm extremely new at this, so I sort of need it spelled out. What I'd like is a button on my form that will create an e-mail filled out with To, CC, Subject, Introduction and have the Form appear in the body just as it appears in the form. I've been looking for several days now, and I'm afraid I'm pretty helpless. I found one post that suggested modifying the "Issue Tracking" Template that comes with info path...I tried that and it does create the email, however I had to fill in the To, CC, etc. I tried modifying the code and now it's so hacked up nothing works anymore. It also would give me an error concerning the forms source data? Not sure what that is about. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...I can return favors with Excel or Access help!!! :)

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Ok...I found this that seems to work:

    var oEnvelope = XDocument.View.Window.MailEnvelope;
    oEnvelope.To = "[email protected]";
    oEnvelope.Subject = "Subject";
    oEnvelope.Visible = true;
    oEnvelope.Send = true;

    However, the send part (which I threw in hoping it would work) doesn't work. Is there a way to have it automatically send as well?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    I am also very interested in Dave's question, as I'm trying to create several standalone forms that do exactly that.

    Dave, where does that code need to be entered in the form?

    **Edit - I figured out where to put the code. Thanks Dave!

    Thanks!
