I use Infopath 2007. How do I validate field by using rule at button click. Because I want to check before set value to some field in form.

Simplest way I can think of is to set a fields value to X on button click and then your validation on the field includes looking for X before applying the validation.

I forget to expand about my button. These are my button's rules.

Rule 1 set value to field.

Rule 2 submit to Sharepoint Document Library

Rule 3 Close Form.

I want to validate entire form, must fill out complete, before start Rule 1.

I think, may be Condition of Rule 1 .... or new Rule Before Rule 1.... 

How can I validate entire form?

In that case separate out the rules so that the first rule engages the validation check and the second rule is dependant on the validation check working to allow the SharePoint submit.

Now I understand. But I have some problem about using condition to validate field (require field - xxx field cannot blank) in repeating table rule.

Do you know about it?

I use InfoPath 2007. I try to set condition of rules of button before Rule 1 (Above message) fired.

At first, I go to my button, then select "Button Properties..."

On "Button Properties" dialog, Click "Rules..." for opening "Rules" dialog.

On "Rules" dialog, I choose my first rule and then set condion...

On "Conditions" dialog, I try to set conditions for validate field in repeating table. When I select field and set condition "is not blank".

It's not work.

Do you know about other solution?

Right your problem is that you are only selecting the first field in the repeating table, you need to select "all occurances" that should do it.

When you choose to select a field to set, there is a drop-down box at the bottom of the window that allows you to select this occurrence, all occurrences, any occurrences.  Use this to select 'all occurrences'

You means "Condition Formatting..." of button that want to validate and then set conditions those affect for clicking button. Cool!
