    Querying three SQL tables

    All,

I'm realatively new in using InfoPath (using InfoPath 2003) and I am having a problem querying a second data source.  I created a query form using one SQL table as a retrieval source and another SLQ source as a submitted table.  My problem happens when I add a secondary SQL data source to receive data. I'm able to query the product field using a drop down field, but when I do this it is suppose to populate the vendor fields associated with that product.  It doesn't do this.  It works fine, with the first table's name and address fields.  Is there something I'm missing?  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

You have come up against one of the limitations of stock InfoPath.  Database forms can only query one set of tables.  If you need a solution that interacts with a database then you should check out the database accelerator. Qdabra Database Accelerator Suite Version 2.1.2808 - Developer

If you would like more information or a demo, email me.

Or what you can do is create a View of the 3 SQL tables and then connect the InfoPath form to the View

See your DBA about creating a View for you.

    Thank you for your Help.
