Hi Everyone,

is there a way to make a combobox read only? I don't want users to be allowed to enter text , they can only select something that's already there.

Doesn't drop-down listbox do exactly what you need?

And you you want to dynamically switch between combobox/dropdown, you can insert both and show/hide only one of them using conditional formatting.

Are you using the combo box that is in Infopath 2007. It has the readonly option in the Conditional formatting options

I am using 2007 and i've looked at both the drop down list box and combobox and can't find a read-only option. In the conditional formatting there is no read-only option only a "disable" option and if I use that the user can't select items.

 Any other ideas?
