    to place one form after the other

    Hi all
    in merge forms i have been told that we can only merge repeating fields .is there a way to merge the other fields also?????

    also let's say that i don't want to merge the forms by fields i want to add the forms one after the other and then view them......
    how do i do that?
    thanks

    Hi nupur,

    1. In merging we can merge the repeating fields only. If we try to merge non repeating fields then it displays the last form fields. It always overrides the previous form fields with new form fields.

    2. If you want to merge the form one after another then you need to change the schema as below:
    <RootNode>
    <ParentNode> (Repeating section)
    <Field1 />
    <Field2 />
    . . . .
    </ParentNode>
    <ParentNode>
    <Field1 />
    <Field2 />
    . . . .
    </ParentNode>
    . . . .
    </RootNode>

    If your forms all fields are bind to repeating section then try merge this form to another form it automatically merges all fields to Merge form.

    Hi Nupur,
    What Shiva is ultimately trying to tell u is that u need to put ur fields under a repeating section to enable successful merging.

    Even by Changing the Schema,Shiva puts all the other fields under the repeating group.Thats it.

    Regards,
    Abhishek

    To change the schema, follow the steps below:

    1. Open the InfoPath form in “Design” mode
    2. Click on “Data Source” in task pane
    3. There you can add or delete the fields as your requirement
    4. In this way you can change the schema
