    Making 2003 Form browser capable.

During converting my IP 2003 Form to IP 2007, I got four errors, "The xpath function for retrieving the users current role is not supported." When I click on the error it brings me to two text boxes and 2 buttons. I have gone into each control, under rules and conditional formating to delete the user role but I do not see a user role tied to the control anywhere to delete.

    What should I do?

Hi, User roles are not supported in browser enabled forms. So you have to take out any conditions based on User roles.

I know that much, I am trying to remove the user roles from the controls that are coming up with the error because of the user roles. When I run the Design Checker, I get 4 controls back that still say they contain roles but they don't. Where else can I look to remove the roles? I have removed all user roles from rules, conditional formatting, tools user roles, and form options open save. What else should I try?

Only other way I can think of is to open your manifest file with notepad (XMLSpy etc.) and search if there still is something referenced. Make sure to back up your template as if you delete something wrong in your manifest you won't be able to open your xsn again. hope this helps

Sorry I am suggesting not so good way but it might work, remove the controls fromt he UI, Run the design checker and add the controls bact to the form.

If that does not work check in all of the views that you have these controls in.
