    Error by some calculations

    Hi all,

I get an error if I open an InfoPath form.

In my form I have an optional section by getting the chapter number automatically if section is inserted. The section number has the default value "concat(my:startNumber, ".")". In some case it pops up an error:

"The calculation in this form has not being completed. The number of calculation used for a single action exceeded maximum limit."

What can I do to avoid this error? Is there an event to catch this error via code?

What is the default of my:startNumber?  How is it set? Does this error pop up when the form opens? Is section number a number or text field?

What I would do is create some expression box actions that would display both my:startnumber and section number. One at form Open and then at intervals through your process to monitor these values and see how they change as the form is used. You should be able to monitor these values in your code too.

First you need to narrow down where or when this error is happening and then try to see exactly what is happening at that moment or right before.
