I recently went through my form to shrink the file size. I deleted code that was not being used and deleted rules as well that were not being used. I then went to edit the manifest file in notepad and it had every rule that was ever done in my form. This file had 60,000 lines. I would say about a third of the rules that r in there are being used and the rest are not. Is there any way I can update this file to get rid of all the old data that I am not using in attempts to bring the file size of my form down? Thanks for any input 08-14-2007 07:59 AM In reply to romaik Joined on 05-31-2007 Paris France Posts 43 Re: Working with the manifest file Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact No, We have removed all un-used elements and fields in the data source. We have been developing this form for over a year and there are still rules that use elements from when we first started that have been deleted months ago 08-14-2007 08:57 AM In reply to Kalyan Gaddam Joined on 07-18-2005 India Posts 362 Re: Working with the manifest file Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact HelloYou have to remove manually the rules or conditional formatting or elements that are not being used. Extract the files and see the Views(XSL), Resource files or data connections that are not being used. This might make a marginal difference in the form size Kalyan G ReddyInfopath MVP 2007 and 2008 08-14-2007 11:12 AM In reply to mhudsonjr Joined on 01-17-2007 Posts 58 Re: Working with the manifest file Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact So the only way is to manually remove them? The only thing is that I am a little nervous about doing that because I dont want to remove something that is being used and with 60,000 lines in the manifest file their is plenty or room to make a mistake. I was just wondering if there was any other way of doing that? Page 1 of 1 (5 items) Copyright © 2003-2019 Qdabra Software. All rights reserved.View our Terms of Use.
