Infopath 2007 sharepoint 2007 User Roles

I have  created two libraries for a specific Infopath form.
The form will be filled out and submitted by the General users from one form library and upon
submitting the form will go to another library where the workflow is
started for the IT Group.  The IT group was initially setup to just Read the
submitted form and not able to edit/resubmit the form.

Now some additional fields have been added to the Infopath form in which the
    IT group needs to complete.

Is there a way to allow the IT group just to edit their fields without
giving them the access to edit the rest of the form?
    Thank you

I do not believe their is a way to grant field permissions on a granular basis with SharePoint or InfoPath without digital signatures. However digital signatures are a bit overkill and probably would be tough to manage.

You can use the Database Accelerator Web Services Suite to have this granular control.  Qdabra Database Accelerator Suite Version 2.0 - Developer

You can use some active directory integration to identify the user and their group membership and then have rules which allows edit of fields or sections. AD integration is included with Database Accelerator or you can build your own.

    Clay,

Thank you for the update; it sounds l like I will need the expertise of a programmer to remedy.
