    jscript wait/sleep/pause/timeout

yeahyeah... sorry, to bring this up this tedious topic again, but i've been wasting hours on this and haven't got any further yet.. >__<

yes, i need the jscript code to wait before executing further code, to let external applications finish their job first (generate a file).

i've read that this could be done with custom task panes, but i'm struggling with the details.
in the 'rudimentary animation' example one can see how javascript functions of the task pane are called using jscript code.
that is good, but i need to return the action to a jscript function again, once the javascript timeout has exceeded.
so.. does anyone know how to call js-functions from the custom task pane's javascript?

or is there even another workaround here? (maybe convert the whole thing to vbscript .. - i don't have too much code in this form, so i could easily rewrite it in vbs)

    Regards

    problem solved:

i used an external batch script to run the single commands in the correct order (=wait before the predecessor is finished).
