I'm literally pulling my hair out over this one.
I have a drop down list box (@Type) that is based on a field in a secondary data source that is from an Access table. tblSAAuditItems. The field saves to the main data source which is at myfields>datafields>d:tblMainAuditInfo>tblSAAuditInfo>tblSACategoryInfo>tblSATypeInfo> Type (field name)
The syntax for the secondary data source that the drop down pulls from is:
myfields>datafields>d:tblSAAuditItems >typename (field name)
My drop down box is a list of "Types". The table it draws from (tblSAAuditItems) has multiple entries for each type though so when I only base the drop down box on that field without a filter, the types are repeated several times. I have tried a billion different ways to filter this list including but not limited to:
The expression not(.=../preceding-sibling::d:tblSAAuditItems/@typename) - Still shows multiple duplicate entries.
The expression (../..dfs:datafields/d:tblSAAuditItems[not(@typename=preceding-sibling::d:tblSAAuditItems/@type)]) - Displays nothing.
I must be missing some KEY knowledge on how the explanations in so many posts just aren't working for me... Am I basing my filter on the wrong table, am I not addressing the comparison in the proper way? Seems this should be realitively simple but I just can't figure it out.
Help would be an absolute blessing!
Thanks!
