Absolutely.
The start and end dates are both selected by the traveler in the infopath form via a date picker control. When the form is submitted to sharepoint, the dates list as they should when simply listed as text. The calendar view does not work correctly.
Make a simple calendar view showing the difference between two dates in sharepoint list and have it display a date range like this over a monthly view:
"Base calendar on the following interval: Between (1st value) and (2nd value)"
Ensure that you are using monthly view to see what i am seeing.
The end date of the colored bar will not stop on the correct end date. Now if I change the end travel date on the form to the day after what it really should be, the bar on the calendar view reflects the dates of the travel correctly. That is why I am fearing that i'll have to ask the traveler what date they plan on returning to the office (most commonly the day after the end of the trip).
I don't see how the input can be skewed because i'm using the date picker control. So that is why i thought to try to make a calculated value, but my skill in converting to and from date formats w/in variables is still weak.
I can't seem to figure out how to add 1 day to the travel end date and have that value end up in a valid date format. If I could get that to work, when a traveler submits a form, I could just have the calendar view use the hidden adjusted value for the end date and all would appear correctly.
