    Secondary data connections

    Hi everyone,

    I add myself to the line of new InfoPath users.

    I have some questions on the secondary data connections and how to use them.

    1.  I had a form connected to a web service, and was experimenting with secondary data connections. I created a button and a textbox tied to the secondary connection, but it did not work. However I saved, and when I was to to start up the application today again I cannot even load the form. The error message is: "InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form. InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix this problem, contact your system admin". I am the system admin. The detailed error message is

    Form template: file:///C:\Users\administrator\Documents\get%20patient.xsn
    InfoPath cannot open the following view: View 1
    The following view file is not valid: view1.xsl
    The .xsl file is not valid XSL.
    Reference to undeclared namespace prefix: 'tns'.

    I have not been experimenting with the View 1 at all, everything was left on start values. Is there any way to solve or come around this?

    2. The secondary connection I created did not even work. How do I make it work? Any good tutorials? Can a textbox used for receive from one connection be used for submitting to the second connection if I for example click another button?

    Thankful for answers,

    Re: Secondary data connections

    I have got the secondary data connections to work now and played around a bit with them, but I do want to emphasize the latter part of question nr.2 above;

    Can a textbox used for receive from one connection be used for submitting to the second connection if I for example click another button?

    Scenario: Receive data in a form, do some adjustments in some of the textboxes, and then submit it to another connection (another operation in the same web service)
