When I try to add a picturebox to my form it requires me to bind it to a field.

Why is this happening, and is there a way to avoid this?

I just need a normal picture not bound to anything to make things look nice.

Insert a Picture using the Toolbar.

Insert -> Picture -> From File.

If you wish to add a picture to your form (like a static picture)

just do : Insert => Picture => From file ...

And you are done.

If you use picturebox, the picture will be saved in the final xml (as binary64). The person filling the form will insert his own picture
