operation failed because the following URL does not correspond to a SharePoint site collection

Ok, I am not sure exactly what happened or what I changed to make this happen.  But as of yesterday the form was working fine, and I was working on getting workflow in place.

My first issue started with when I went to open an existing form that had been filled out, I got an error that said it belonged to a different site collection.  So I did some web searching and thought I found a fix, but now when I go to create a new form I get this:

The operation failed because the following URL does not correspond to a SharePoint site collection: http://xxxxxxx.com:9090/sites/nameofsite/SS/_layouts/FormServer.aspx

I undid what I thought the fix was, and then went directly to the server and opened a browser window and was able to open the form.  I then cut and paste the url from the server window to my desktop window and it worked just fine.  It only does this now when I click the "new" button.

     Any thoughts??

     Thanks

    Paula

I'm having the same issue on one of our servers.

Did you get it to work - what was the problem?

    Thanks,

hi, have the same error display but it is because of the alternate acces mapping url.

it is okay if i use server name or ip.

    any idea?

    thanks

I had the same problem, but it is with users on the internet accessing my site. I followed the instruction here: http://www.toddklindt.com/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=39 and it was sorted.

    Goodluck you all!!!
