Hello All,

 Is there a way to set the value of a field only for the first row of a table or repeating section (for example 'This is the first row')?  All other rows would have no default value.

Yes this is possible. A few steps to perform though: In my scenario I have a repeating table with only one textbox control, the xPath is the following my:myFields/my:group1/my:group2/my:field1 Double click your repeating table and deselect the "Show insert button and hint text" check box Drag a button into your repeating section, double click it and name it "Insert Section" for example Click the "Edit Form Code..." button Into the OnClick event of the button enter the following XDocument.View.ExecuteAction("xCollection::insert", "xmlToEditName"); XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode("my:myFields/my:group1/my:group2[last()]/my:field1").text = ""; That's it. To get the correct xmlToEdit name value do the following. From the file menu select "Extract Form Files", create a new folder on your desktop and extract the files. Open the folder and right click on the manifest file to open it with the notepad. now search vor the xmlToEdit name = "" value for your repeating section/table. In my case the name was gourp2_1. I have a question that is somewhat related to this topic.  I would like to be able to have a text box where users can input the amount of rows they would like to have copied based on the default values of the last row so that when the button is pressed the info that was inputed is generated multiple times based on the input value of the text box.  Please help on this, I've been trying to figure this out for a couple of weeks now.

Hello and welcome to our forum. Unfortunately to do this you have to write code as there is no way in rules to add repeating nodes to the form. That said we do this all the time and it's not hard to do in code.

Thanks for such a quick response.  I was hoping that someone might have an example out there that might help me go in the right direction on this.  I knew that code would be involved, but I am unfamiliar with XML and I am just getting started on figuring this out.  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
