    Installation Problem

Hi I am having the following problem:

At the end of the installation process I am getting the following error:

Error publishing Admin tool : An unhandled exception was thrown: Data Source:(LOCAL);Initial Catalog=QadabraDBXL;Integrated Security=True

What is the problem ? It created the database in the sql server and finally saying that it successfully installed. But when I start the Administration tool at :

http://localhost/QdabraWebService/Forms/DAT/template.xsn I get an empty page.  Is this a known error ?

    I am installing on a test environment : XP SP2, local sqlserver, infopath 2007, iis5.1, VS 2005

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi bjoernscher,

This is kind of weird.  Could you provide a little more information?

    1. What type of SQL Server are you using? 2000, 2005, Sql Express?
    2. Does the NT Authority\Network Service system user account have db_owner access to the QdabraDBXL database? The installer should have done this itself, but there might have been a problem.
    3. Can you give a screenshot of the error? The text is just the connection string to the database, and doesn't tell us a whole lot.
    4. You don't happen to be running x64 version of WinXP, do you?

Thanks for the info, we look forward to resolving this issue ASAP!

    Hi Matt,

thanks for your help. I installed it now from another computer with server 2003 and IIS 6. It seems the failure came from the IIS5.1 from my XP machine.

I got it installed now, but I have another failure : When the installation was finished, it tried to start the iis website that I created for qdabra :

    http://localhost:28888/QdabraWebService/default.htm

But it gives me back a : HTTP 401.1 - You are not authorized to view this page

I already took a look at the NTFS permission. The user I am using definetly has NTFS permission to the website.

What am I doing wrong ?

    Thanks in advance

    Again me,

Also when I try to go to the Administration tool : C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WebServices\QdabraWebService\Forms\DAT\template.xsn

This File does not exist. Under the forms folder, I can only find 2 dll files. There is no DAT folder.

What is the correct installation procedure for this software ?!

The installation is on a Windows Server 2003, IIS installed, Sharepoint 2007 installed , everything latest Patch level. The SQL 2005 is running on another server.

The QdabraWebService/Forms and QdabraWebService/Documents folders do not actually exist in the file system.   Templates and documents under these locations are stored in SQL Server.

Are you able to access any content under the root of the website?  http://localhost:28888/default.htm?
