    Disabling all controls

    Hello!

I have a large form in which the user can enter information in a number of text fields and dropdown lists. One of the dropdown lists is used to set status for the form, if the user chooses to submit the form with the status "Approved" I want to disable all controls in the form except for the status dropdown. Now, is there any way to do this in code? My current solution is to use conditional formatting on every control which disables the control if the status is set to "Approved". This is no good for two reasons: it's tedious and inflexible to do this manually for every control, and the disabling takes place when the status is changed rather than when the form is submitted (although this is not a big issue).

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!

    Regards, Helena

    Hello  Helena

Try creating an Identical view with all the Controls disabled(except the drop down) , something like Read Only.

You can switch to this read only view when the status is changed in the drop down or when the form is submitted.

     Hope this helps you
