InfoPath Dev

Hi All,

Trying to create my first InfoPath form to be used in SharePoint Portal 2007.  I am trying to understand how it works.  First question, I created a field call LName.  I want the the default value of this field to auto-populate with the login (SharePoint) user's Last Name.  In the Insert Function of the field properties, there is a userName function.  However, this brings up the email address name.  There is no function to bring in either the last name or full name.  We are using Windows Active Directory here.  So, what are my options?

You may want to look at the free developer download of the Database Accelerator Web Services Suite. It has an Active Directory web service included.  It can also make creating secure, controlled, enterprise form solutions much easier by integrating with SQL.
