Rule firing on field before the default value loads

    Hello,

I have a form that has a field that populates the field with the current logged on user by default.  I also have a rule on that field that will populate another field based on the value that is defaulted.  The problem is that the rule is being executed against the default value before the value gets loaded, so it is blank.  How do rules get executed v/s default values, etc.  Is there anywhere that i can find what the InfoPath load sequence is?

    Thanks

I have seen this scenario before and it can get annoying.  When using code, I use a global isLoading variable that is set to true in OnLoad, but I don't think this will help you since you are using rules.  The only thing I can suggest is that you could add a condition on your rule so that it only fires when the value of the field equals the default value.

     Hope this helps!

Thanks-I tried that but still is not working as expected.  Do you know how the rules fire and in what order on document load?
