Using IP 2003, SP1

I have several sections that should be hidden when a form opens and then displayed when the user selects a check box. I have a rule set to hide the section when the field for the check box is equal to no, and after the form is open I can check/uncheck the box and the section displays and hides, but when the form opens the section is visible. How can I have section hidden initially?

You need to set the default for the check box to "no".  That way when the form is opened from the template the value is no, the section is hidden, and then when checked will be set to yes.  Otherwise it is blank at open, which is not "no" and therefore visible.

 

I was trying that but it was not working. I looked closer and noticed that the check box fields were text so I changed them to Boolean and fixed the problem
