InfoPath Dev

 

I have a situation where Infopath crashing in random mode . My Infopath(2003) document have C# Code and integrates with Sharepoint 2003. Infopath Crash when I compile my Module and manually I want close Infopath Application or when I change any type o textbox,dropdownlist etc . I see Event Log and i find this message:

"Faulting application infopath.exe, version 11.0.6565.0, stamp 42cace3a, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, stamp 41252c01, debug? 0, fault address 0x00010f29"

I have Windows XP Sp2 and Intenet Explorer Versio 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2.rtm.040803-2158co.

Can You Help Me?? thank you so much.

Hi francesco and welcome to the forums!

I have never seen this error before, but it looks like an installation problem.  I would try repairing your Office installation.  If that doesn't work, try putting the error message into Google to see if anyone else has had this problem (which is likely), and how they fixed it.  If all else fails, get back in touch with us and we'll see if we can make a solid repro that we can send to Microsoft to be fixed in the next release.

I have problem on pc with Windows XP Sp2 , Intenet Explorer Versio 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2.rtm.040803-2158co,and  Office 11.6565.8122 SP2.

I work the same template on pc with Windows Server 2003 ,with  the same Office's version (11.6565.8122) SP2, and I have no problem. There is only difference beetwen , Internet Explorer Version is 6.0.3790.3959CO. I read in other post that may be a problem. Do you think it's possible?

 

Yes, InfoPath uses IE as the rendering engine.  I would search more for what is going wrong with "ntdll.dll" - this was probably corrupted.  You should try downloading a new one from one of the many sites that offer them, and then replace it.  If that doesn't do the trick, I'm not sure what to tell you except just start uninstalling and reinstalling stuff (hopefully you won't have to re-do your OS).
