User cannot open InfoPath form: DataObject either cannot be created or cannot be initialized

I have an InfoPath 2003 form published to a SharePoint form library.  The form has one drop-down control which is populated by a SharePoint list on that same site.  (The name of the list is phases.)  One user out of several dozen cannot open the form.  The message she gets is:

The following DataObject either cannot be created or cannot be initialized: phases
The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: phases
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
    Access is denied.

The security on this form library is set so that anyone with Reader rights can view, edit, delete, etc.  I have even added her to the library individually and given her the appropriate rights.

She is using InfoPath 2003 SP2 (as are all of us), and IE 7.  She may be the only user with IE 7, but I'm not sure.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

    Hi

Look at the following link which might help you: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/thread/1564.aspx.

And Just check what is the security level for the form? (in Designer, go to Tools->Form Options->Security

User cannot submit a form to SharePoint if the security level is  ‘Restricted’ . You need to have "Automatically determine security level based on form design"(Domain Trust) or above(Full trust).

Thanks for the response.  She already had the domain listed as a Trusted Site.  She added the domain to the Local Intranet setting, that did not do anything.  I have checked the form security and it is set appropriately, to trust data from the domain.  As I said, she is the only user who has reported this problem, so I would have been surprised if the form security would have been an issue.

So ... any other ideas out there?

    Hi,

I think this is permission issue.

Check once that user has the permission to access the sharepoint list(i.e, check that user is added in the sharepoint permissions or not).

    Thanks,

    Ramana.

All of the users of this form are set up exactly the same way.  They all have Reader rights to everything on the site.  They all have edit rights to the form library.  They can all go to the list in question and open it.  She is no different in any of these aspects.  The only difference is that she cannot open this form.

Re: User cannot open InfoPath form: DataObject either cannot be created or cannot be initialized

    Hi

Does the behaviour re occur where she accesses the form through Infopath 2003 directly rather than going via IE?  This is because IE has an option to not pass on User ID and password which will not matter in SharePoint (hence the list works for her in SharePoint) as it gets your permissions from your connection, I think.  With Infopath however this option must be explicitly set to pass on the Domain\Logon ID and password.

My first request will identify if this is the cause of the error and the seond point explains how to resolve it.  If this is not the cause of the error then it can only be down to the form design but the very fact that other users are successfully interacting with the list suggests this is not the cause.

I hope this makes sense but it seems most likely

    Cheers Adam
