Is there a way to pull data from all InfoPath forms and do some calculation on it?

Hello, We have a performance review form. After employees fill out the form, I would like to run a report calculating the competency score and final score on those info path forms. Is that possible?

     Thanks!

There are several ways that you can do this, it's going to depend on our level of knowledge about InfoPath.

In many ways this sounds like a classic "merge form" situation.  You would need to enable form merging and then when all the performance reviews are done you merge all the forms together.  If you do this you may want a special "report view" built into the form that would tabulate all the scores you want to report on.

A very simple way to do this would be if you were using SharePoint, you could promote the form fields that you want to report on in SharePoint and then export that to Excel after all review forms are filled out.  You would then do reporting in Excel.

    Hope that helps!

Another way to do this is to submit your forms to SQL and create a report on top of it.

    Hi

Is there a pay webpart out there for this solution? I don't want to do coding.

Qdabra's Database Accelerator - Standalone Version ("Standalone") will install on your Windows 7 machine and allow you to pull data from your SharePoint site into a local copy of SQL (free version included in the install). The tool periodically checks your SharePoint site for updated forms and maps these to a SQL database. The tool has the option to automatically create a SQL database from your form's XML or you can create a database yourself and specify a mapping. With the data in your database, you can open Excel and query to populate worksheets. After the worksheets are populated, you can create pivot tables, charts and other cool reports.

Qdabra will be releasing a trial version of "Standalone" in March, 2010. Check Qdabra.com website out for more details. To get a preview before that, please send me email and I'll connect you to the Q Sales team.
