Cannot make the forms browser enabled

    Hi,
I have installed Office Forms Server 2007 Beta 2 Technical Refresh on a server. I' m trying infopath 2007 beta and I created a form with check box for browser checked . Design checker shows no errors, but when I publish it into MOSS 2007 , it shows a message that "This form-template is browser compatible, but it cannot be browser enabled on the selected site". I assume that there might be some settings that should be set on the server. Please help me in resolving this issue. What settngs should I set on the server so that the forms can be browser enabled? iIam completely new to share point server and Forms server.

    Thanks
    Jenz

Thanks a lot Shailaja. The video was really informative. But my problem is that I have installed the Forms Server 2007 x64 Beta 2 Technical Refresh(downloaded from microsoft site), but the service is not listed in the sharepoint site. What's wrong with the installation? But no other free downloads are avaliable in the internet.

    Thanks

Re: Cannot make the forms browser enabled

    Hi,

I have created a form(which contains only a few textboxes) using Infopath 2007. I have changed the compatibility settings so as to browser enable it. And the design checker shows no error. When I publish the forms to sharepoint server 2007, I checked the checkbox which says 'Enable this form to be filled out by using a browser'. But when I finally published it to the server it says, 'The form template cannot be opened by using a browser because it contains features that are not compatible with browsers.'
There are only a few text boxes and the design checker shows no error.
I couldn't understand what the problem is. Please help.

    Thnaks in advance

    Hi,
I'm using the trial version of Office Professional 2007. Is that the reason that I am getting this error?

Thanks in advance for your help

Re: Cannot make the forms browser enabled

I've successfully managed to browser-enable the forms, but when I try to access the forms via the browser I just get a blank page with "The form has been closed" in a box in the centre of the screen. I'm using B2TR version of Infopath 2007 to create the forms, plus trial version of Forms Server 2007.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Hello,
If your form is uploaded and installed,
you must activate it on the collection site.
    After that it's ok.
Be carefull with infopath and form (with the modele object).

Re: Cannot make the forms browser enabled

Thanks for that. I've since found out that you need to digitally sign all forms that contain managed code, so I think that is the reason for the problems I've been having. Hopefully they should be solved if I sign the forms.

Re: Cannot make the forms browser enabled

I've found the source of that problem, for myself, anyways.  When you open the form template from where it resides on the sharepoint server, and publish it, something happens to the published template because it's already opened from the WebDav location.  Do this:  open the form template from the webdav share, save it to your computer, close infopath, then design the form by opening it from your PC.  Publish it from there to its intended location and it should open fine in a web browser.

This works in situations where design checker reports no errors but the d@#$ed form still won't open in a browser

    Hope this helps!  Thanks!
