    Filtering Secondary Datasource

I have a secondary datasource that I would like to filter by what is entered in the main datasource.
I want to filter the data coming in from my secondary datasource based on the entry date field.
I have a date field in the secondary data source and main data source, but when i follow the link below and do the following steps

    1. Double-click the expression box
    2. Click the function button beside the default value field
    3. Click Insert Field or Group
    4. Expand my secondary data source to the entry date
    5. Click the Data Filter button on the bottom left of the Select a Field or Group dialog box
    6. Choose the Secondary Data sources enry date field in the first drop-down, equals in the second drop-down, and Select a Field or Group from the third drop-down
    7. In the dialog box that pops up, go back to your Main DOM and choose the entry date from the main DOM.
    8. Click OK about 8 times.

But i can not get it to show data, even though there are matching dates. If i don't filter data populates - Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't
I searched the database, but cannot find an anser to my question. i do see answer similar especially here:

    FYI - My xpath is-

    Re: Filtering Secondary Datasource

I think is due to the fact that the XML value for the data coming is set to date and time (i.e. 2006-03-18T00:00:00) and it is being compared to a datepicker date which does not have time. Any ideas on how to compare the two?

What is the source of the data coming in with the date/time stamp? It looks like it's an Access query based upon your xpath, is that correct?

Have you tried to change that data source to be date only and not date/time? Just a thought.

    Re: Filtering Secondary Datasource

Have you tried changing the main data source element in question to a type of just Date instead of Date/Time? If you set that then only the date is populated into the XML since the datatype only allows for a date. This could solve your problem.
