Saving InfoPath form to Sharepoint folder

    Hello

VERY new to both Sharepoint and Infopath...so for what it's worth...

    We've got Sharepoint 2007 installed.
I've got Office 2007 (beta) installed

I've got an IT site created.
I've got a Forms library with a Status Report template setup
Everyone can create new Infopath documents from the Template.
Most of the Techs use last weeks form to create a new form.
So this is what happens and where I'm needing some help.

Open a form from one folder, they make the changes and try to do a Save or Save As. When they open up and try to navigate to a different folder on Sharepoint they can't navigate there, it takes them "out" of the Sharepoint site and what they see is "My Network Places" instead of the Sharepoint site folder structure.
So then they can't Save or Save As into the correct location without uploading it somehow.

Any thoughts/ideas anyone? Does this make sense? It could be a setup or something, as I didn't actually do the Sharepoint install.

    Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to our forum. This is puzzling as I've been able to successfully do a save to another folder. This includes backing up out of a folder and then navigating down to another folder.

When you say they "open up and try to navigate to a different folder" what do you mean?

    Shiraz

Thanks...I just worked around this issue with a Submit button via the Toolbar.

Thanks for the reply...I've been swamped and not been able to get back to check this earlier.

    Again, thanks for the reply.

Re: Saving InfoPath form to Sharepoint folder

    Hi,
I have been following all the steps, and I can fill and retrieve a form from my pc, but as soon as I send it to another one (with InfoPath), they can not open it.

2-I have trouble submitting/publishing a form, and when I try to do any of them, I get an error message!

Re: Saving InfoPath form to Sharepoint folder

    Hello,
I am fairly new to this forum.
I have successfully created an InfoPath form, and tested it on my computer. I tried to fill the same form from a different account and I get error messages.

BTW. I have been trying to learn InfoPath via Microsoft/internet.
Do you think I should take a "real" and or just keep sifting through the "help" options online?

    Thank you

    Hi,

What is the security level for your form?
