Office 2000 and 2007 Compatibility problem

    Hi,

Like it says on Microsoft website you can install two version of office without problem.

As I discover It's not always the case.

    Here is my problem:

On my PC I have two version of office 2000 and 2007. I go on my sharepoint site for open an Infopath form (full-trusted and signed).

If my default office is 2007 no problem I can start my form without problem.

But if office 2000 is set as default my problem begins.

When I open my form Infopath start normally but when he find my digitall signature he makes a warning (like he do the first time that I open the form template). Normally I can choose "always trust this signature", "open", "cancel" but in this case my signature is already trust (I have already click on "always trust this signature" when I open it with 2007 as default) and the button "always trust this signature" is grey (cant click). And if my signature is not trust all the rest of my workflow cant open another full trust Infopath form. (additionnal information of this post:http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4684)

If I set default back to office 2007 the form open without this warning (because like I say I have already trust this signature).

This problem doesn't appear if you use 2002 (office XP) or 2003 with office 2007!

So what can I do for change this? Any Idea?

    Thanks

Re: Office 2000 and 2007 Compatibility problem

This is a tough one. Usually side-by-side is supported only in the most recent versions. Office 2000 is pretty old and the side-by-side version install technology wasn't as mature back then. As you know InfoPath didn't even exist back then so there is like some conflict that just can't be handled. My guess is that the only workaround is what you're doing to have Office 2007 default. Is there a reason that you have to have Office 2000 as default?
