    Operation Aborted

I have created a form that has many functions. The first submit button sends it to a Sharepoint library. The coordinator then opens it and either approves or rejects it. The submit button here reads from the approve or reject button. If rejected the form travels through email. If approved it reads a particular field and submits to a Sharpoint folder based on that field. The manager then opens it and either approves or rejects it. The submit button here reads and again emails if rejected. This time it also emails various people based on a field selected. Each time approve is selected....a date box is filled and the status is changed on a series of option buttons.

Now...in testing the form if you click back and forth on approve and rework (before hitting submit) and then click on the date field or status buttons you get this error:

An error occurred in the form's code. The number of calls to the OnAfterChange event for a single update in the data exceeded the max limit. Some rules were not applied.

    You then get an error:

    Operation aborted.

It takes multiple times of clicking ok to get it to go away...but once it does you can do anything with the form.

I do not understand code, so I can't even read into it to find an answer.

Sorry for the long message but I figure the more information the better. Thanks

You are likely receiving this because you've established what's called an "Endless Loop". . . i.e. One field updates another one, and that one in turn updates the first. The loop can contain any number of fields and can sometimes be difficult to track down. Sometimes its just one field updating itself.

Anyway -- that's normally what causes the call limit exceeded error.
