    InfoPath event error

    Hi,

I cannot reproduce the error on a simple form but what can I say is:

My error occur when I have a toolbar with one or multiple button and this button is link to an event. If I open this form two time in preview or publish mode Infopath crash totally!

I have only two events in this form! one button and one toolbar nothing else I have all remove!!!

I have seen that another event of my form make an error with this there are not the same name. If you remove one of this two empty event the form goes well!

It's very strange I realy don't understand why this make crash Infopath!

If you are interest to see or for send to microsoft I can send you this form!

    Thanks for your feedbacks

Thierry, I have had this problem too! It happens to me when I add custom widget menu items. The first preview works fine, but after you close the preview and then try to preview again, InfoPath totally crashes!

I tried to make a repro of this bug so that I could submit to Microsoft, but when I created a new blank form with custom widget menu items, it did not crash. Like you said, this is very strange and I don't know why it's happening. Please send me the form over e-mail so we can collaborate and maybe get to the bottom of this.

I just discovered another bug that happens with this:

If you have a preview of the project open and then go to wherever you published (in my case, SharePoint) and try to open the form to fill out, then it will give the same error.

    Hey guys,
Start->run eventvwr. Go to application log and look for the fatal crash. There will be two logs - one contains the bucket information. The bucket info can be searched on Microsoft's error reporting site to see if there is a hotfix for this issue.

    Hi,

Have you find somethings more about this error?

I have search a little more but as I can see the error is always the same on different formular. The data contain in the error bucket is always the same.

But unfortunately there are no hotfixe for this problem!

Have you find a work around?

    Thanks
