InfoPath Dev

We are having problems with web services timing out. Also a data connection that writes the Infopath form to a Sharepoint form library. In particular this is happening with client pcs executing over slower WAN links. I have looked at some of the other blog entries and noticed that someone suggested increasing the "Infopath" timeout. How do you accomplish this ? I assume this would have to be a setting on each client pc ? Thanks.

The data connection itself has a TimeOut property that you can set. This will require code.

Are you talking about VB script ? Can you give me an example of the code needed ?

XDocument.DataObjects("WebServiceAdapterName").QueryAdapter.Timeout = 120

The default value is "30" seconds.

It works for the webservice data connection but when I try to apply timeout to a data connection which writes the form to a Sharepoint form libray, I get an error that indicates that it does not exist in the collection ?

XDocument.DataObjects ("Submit to Sharepoint").QueryAdapter.Timeout = 120
QueryDataSource CurrentUserDataSource

"Get Current User Info" timeout seems to work, but "Submit to Sharepoint" which is not a web service kicks out an error.

Any ideas ?

Go into InfoPath.
Press F1 (Help)
In the InfoPath Help task pane, click Table of Contents.
Open InfoPath Developer's Reference
Open InfoPAth Object Model Reference
Open Properties
Click Timeout Property (Index)

See if you can track down what you need from there.
