    Submit Response Codes

Is there such a thing? When I make a submission through and InfoPath form to a webservice, and anything in the webservice fails, how do I send a response to InfoPath saying *anything* other that "Form Submission Successful" which seems to be the default message if a webservice receives the data.
Am I even thinking about this the right way? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Hi Zeb and welcome to our forum,
If you have no code in your solution, then you'll have to rely on InfoPath's default logic. If you have code, you can wrap it with a try/catch, parse the error and display an error message using a dialog box or some conditional control in the view.

It seems that as long as webservice is available and accepts whatever parameters the InfoPath form sends then the InfoPath form assumes the submission was a success, regardless of whatever happens inside the webservice.

    Hi Zeb,
Webservice can return sucess/failure message or use "OUT" parameters to send information back to the InfoPath.

You can read this information from "OutputLocation" property of Webservice adapter.

InfoPath has to read the sucess/failure from
