I found this awesome and free Java-based soap inspector called SoapUI at
http://www.soapui.org/index.html . I haven't used SOAPScope, but this has a lot of awesome features and can even do load testing and provides scripting functionality to create mini-programs within it!
I had a little trouble loading up a WSDL from a URL, but I just pinged the WSDL in a browser, copied the XML, saved as a file locally, and then imported the WSDL that way into soapui.
