Hi!

I try to make some entries to a sharepoint list (it's a discussion board). I did the following:

• I created a data connection for submitting data


• I Choose Web Service and entered:http://server/_vti_bin/Lists.asmx?WSDL


• I chose UpdateList


• I selected a text box for "list name" and a textbox for "new fields"

When I click a button that executes the rule, I get the following error message:

InfoPath cannot submit the form.
An error occurred while the form was being submitted.
The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server:

Exception of type Microsoft.SharePoint.SoapServer.SoapServerException was thrown.
<detail>
<errorstring xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/soap/">
'Text' is an invalid node type. Line 1, position 1.
</errorstring>
</detail>

I would be very glad if someone could help me out.

It seems something is wrong with your CAML - could you post the code that generates this error please?

I think the called web service was not the right one.

So I finally ended up with creating my own web service with all methods that I need. However, they do not all behave very well.
