    What Database to use??

I am using infopath and MS SPS for all common forms used in our company. I have designed the forms and need to get them tied to a database.
My final goal is to tie to a SQL database.
I can query & submit to a SQL database when I am within my office network. I can query a SPS list(not sure if I can submit to a SPS List) in and out of the office work space. I cannot figure out the webservice route.

    SQL:
I believe my issues with this is a rights issue when I am outside my office network. I get the following errors when I try to open a infopath form outside my office network www.bojik.com/SQL_Login.pdf.

    SPS List:
I have these working great in and out of the office network.

    Web Service:
I have done the Lab8 in Microsoft.com and still do not quite understand how a webservice gets the data from a database. (newbie to webservice)

I want to use SQL as it will allow me to sync with my accounting database. The SPS List approach will work, but I have to update all of the lists manualy (ie. export a report to excel and copy to the linked SPS excel spreadsheet and sync. If I do a new list to replace the old list I get broken links in the infopath form). If webservice is also a option I need help on how to set one up and tie it to a sql database.

    Thanks in advance

You should be able to edit your own posts. Start at your name and go to the right until you see an icon that looks like a pad of paper with a pencil over it.

Anyway, this sounds like a connection issue - you might need to establish a VPN connection to connect to a remote database or at least configure the database to allow remote connections through the Internet.
