    Error connecting to database infopath/sharepoint

Quick Question on Infopath and Sharepoint.

So, I have my SQL Server and I have my Infopath Form that Queries and displays the results from a database. It also has the ability to Submit and store information in the same database.

When I have the Infopath Form open it runs file, however, once I publish it to the sharepoint site. When I goto open it, I get an Access Denied Error while trying to connect to the data source

The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Main connection
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
    Access is denied.
    Access is denied.

I've tried going into Enterprise Manager and adding myself as a user with no success. I've also tried setting up the same .dsn on the server.

    Any help would be awsome!

Hi Chipscc and welcome to our forum,
Where is the SQL Server? Is it in the intranet domain? Probable cause is that it isn't in the same domain as the SharePoint site. Another possibility is that you have code in your form and the internet explorer security settings are set to have SharePoint website in your Trusted area which is lower privileges than Local Intranet. Just a couple random thoughts though. Need more info.

There are two things I can think of which you could try:
    1. If your SQL Server is using Windows Integrated authentication, you could switch it to SQL Server authentication (and specify login information in the data connection - not a good security practice, by the way), and see if that helps. Or vice versa.
    2. Giving a form full trust tends to solve security issues like the one you're having right now.
