Sharepoint and InfoPath offline - possible or not?

    Hello colleagues,
I need to integrate InfoPath (2003) forms with Sharepoint (2003) with the forms able to work off-line.
The scenario is: An user downloads an InfoPath form from a Sharepoint Forms Library to his PC. At home (on a business trip, wherever) they add some data. There should be some drop-down listboxes present in the form that lookup some data from Sharepoint. When the user comes to work and gets online, the form should synchronize itself with the WSS library.
    So - resumé:
    1) what should I do to make InfoPath forms work offline and synchronize themselves after the user connects?
    2) how can I ensure that the secondary data sources (lookup fields from Sharepoint) can show some data when the user is off-line?
I would be most grateful if somebody could give me a direction or even some information regarding this.

I am able to desing and publish InfoPath forms, but do not have any XML/XSLT/XPATH... programming knowledge. Is that even possible?

    Thank you in advance!

    Ravie.

    Hello Shilpa,
there's nothing that could really help in the suggested article...
    I found this:
    http://infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=3b9d4d677daf4ef18d8e93d0cd188194
but when I tried it, I got an error
"Access denied". Does anyone know why?
I am the local admin, Sharepoint admin, we have a Windows domain and the Sharepoint site is a fully trusted site.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Shilpa,
the form is not fully trusted, because I need it to be able to function when the users copy it to their local drive and it would not resist under the same path under which it was generated - when I set the form to full trusted, it has to be at the same place any time I think - I tried it and either I was doing something wrong or I am right :)
    Thank you!

    Hi Ravie,

Your form does not have to be full trust for the method I described in the tutorial. I think this is what you are looking for - have you implemented it?

Re: Sharepoint and InfoPath offline - possible or not?

    Hello Matt,
I have tried it. It works, however,
if I don't set the form to full trust, then it would not be opened from the Sharepoint site (Access denied). If I do, it could not be placed at the local users' drives anywhere - the only place to save it to is the same path on which it was generated.
To be honest, I am a little bit confused :).
I suppose I am doing something wrong, but no idea what...
    Thank you a lot!
