    Create XSN from XML

Is there any way to create the template.xsn and the supporting aspx files from an xml file. My trouble is that when publishing to a SharePoint server, the original template.xsn file was overwritten and now I have a load of xml files that are totally useless.

    Hi Jim,
Did you create these files by filling out the form? If yes you cannot create the xsn file with those files. XML files are just data containers they donot contain any info about the template.xsn

One way is you can create a template.xsn with same schema as these files and use those files again.

I hope the steps given below will help you to get your old xsn.
    1. Open InfoPath form.
    2. Go to file menu and select Fill out a form.
    3. Select your form (old xsn) under all forms box in “Fill out a form” Dialogue box.
    4. Click on “Design this form” in the form tasks.
    5. Form is opened in Design mode then you can publish it in Share point site and get it your old file.
