Form Deleting from Sharepoint site, not from DB

Hi, I have a Sharepoint form library in which the form is tied to a sql server database. When they fill out the form and click submit, it saves it to this library.

If I delete the form using the drop down delete button in the Sharepoint form list, it doesn't delete it from the database. Is this normal?, Is it deleting it from my content database but isn't "smart enough" to delete it from the sql server database the form is tied to??

Do I have to have a delete button on the form itself in order to delete it and if so, do I need code?

    any help appreciated.

    Hi Mario

i take it that you by "the form is tied to a sql server database" means an InfoPath form that connects to a database?

SharePoint has no knowledge of what happens inside your IP application, so its quite logical that your database isnt updated.

To make this happen you could try and hook up on the "delete" event in the sharepoint document library and execute the delete in the database from here.

Check out this sample on how to use the event model in sharepoint
