hi,

i am very new in infopath. I am currently save my infopath form to Sharepoint once the user completed the infomation.

In my infopath, i have 2 groups,the first group is to save it into sharepoint infopath so that i can make use the sharepoint built in search. My 2's group is to save the data to the database via webservices where the user will click on my Button.

Is that possible to do that? Please advise

Hi Wongz,
Sure, our database accelerator enable the Web service and database scenario. You can save it to both places but then you have to pick one form as the basis. Having the same form in two places is not always a great idea because of synchronization issues. For example, someone can delete the form in SharePoint and search will fail. Better to use some SharePoint web part on top of the database.

Thanks for the fast reply,
I was thinking that those 2 groups is in 1 infopath. In other words, When i click Save, it will only send the group1 in the same infopath form to the sharepoint. The data inside Group2 will not be inside sharepoint form library.

Is that possible? The reason is because that the data in group1 is just for storing and view nothing more. But the data inside group2 integrate with other function of mine. SO each time if the user wants to update the infopath data, it will download the infopath and in the group2 i will call my webservices to populate it from my database.

Is that possible?
