    Hi,
Areas will provide intuitive navigation for finding and browsing all types of content, from documents to people to sites based on Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services.

Sites will allow you to facilitate end-to-end collaboration across your organization.

If you want more information , you can see Help provided in sharepoint site.

    Thanks.

For Sharepoint stuff you could try www.sharepointu.com

I find you dont always get a reply though.

Maybe try here I suspect a lot of people who use Infopath are quite Sharepoint savy. There are some very good sharepoint bloggers around as well.

Areas are ment to be used for more static page structures such as organizational units (HR, IT, production etc) where sites are ment as presenting more ad-hoc kind of data such as project rooms, discussion fora etc.

Sites comes with WSS (Windows SharePoint Services), areas comes with the SharePoint Portal Server (witch also has sites just to confuse things even more ;-) )

For sharepoint stuff i use either usenet (microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver(.development) or microsoft.public.windowsservices(.development)) or MSD2D.com
