    InfoPath 2013 - Filler Version / Option?

    Hi,

I have a question please regarding InfoPath 2013 and if a 'filler' or open/submit only option/version is available for it?
Looking online hasn't produced much, which is concerning but I may just be missing the obvious here.

I ask as we currently use InfoPath 2010 and SharePoint 2013 and all our InfoPath forms are filler ones with filler 2010 installed on the client machines, as we don't want everyone building their own forms and we're not on an enterprise version of SharePoint, so no brower based forms any longer.

We will be moving to O365 / Power Apps forms later in the year but there is call to at least update InfoPath to the last version in the mean time and if we have to use Office 2016 while waiting for 0365.

Is there a filler version for InfoPath 2013 or is there a config option now to make the full install opening/submitting forms only?

    Many thanks.

There is an InfoPath 2013 that has the ability to open Filler forms. Download here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48734  - I have InfoPath 2013 installed and the Office 365 version of Microsoft Office - both 64-bit - and they are running fine together. Hope that helps :)

Thanks Hilary, although I may be misunderstanding here or I haven't explained this well.

I think that's one of the same links I found online, the issue isn't so much that this can open filler forms, im sure it will, but to ensure the users' machines only have a version of the software on it that only allows them to open and submit forms, not to build their own or edit them as the full version of InfoPath would allow. Isn't this just the full version of InfoPath 2013?

All our machines currently have 'Microsoft InfoPath Filler 2010' installed on them, we have a seperate 'InfoPath Designer' app installed on our team's machines to actually build the forms, the users never have this as they only need filler to open/submit.

Ah, now I understand. Yes, 2013 includes two separate pieces, filler and designer. How do you currently install just Filler? I've not had to do that myself, so I'm not sure if the same approach would work with 2013, but it seems like it should be reasonably simple to test on a VM or test machine?

I'll ask the tech guys that one, I was expecting two seperate installs but perhaps it's just a config change when installing.

Thanks again, I'll update this thread once I find out in case anyone else needs to know. :)
