Error "The expression is not a node-set" from calculation on rule

I have a rule to set a field value. My Insert Formula value is: IR01num * (.5/NACatcher_RI) + IR02num * (.5/NACatcher_RI). IR01num, IR02num, and NACatcher_RI are all fields. It seems to have a problem with me directly referencing the numerical value .5. But Why?? I cannot figure out what is wrong with this simple formula. The concept is: field*(.5/field) + field*(.5/field) Please help if you can!! Will greatly appreciate it.

Never mind ... I finally found out it was lack of spaces in between things. Dang. Vague error!

Oh, I've done this too.... basically, InfoPath is going to assume that the "\" in that case is part of an XPath (like my:group1\my:fieldwhatever) and not "div" which is what is used for division. if you click "edit XPath" in the formula editor on your fixed math, you'll see that "div" is what is actually being used. :)
